Homework - Week 1

Hi Everybody!!

The images below are the 22 designs i have come up with according to the homework 1 of ARCH1101.

Draft Sketch up Model

Homework - O-Week

Hello Everyone!

The following pictures provided are for the first homework for the unit ARCH1101.

Three Image 1:

Creative Work Image

I did this drawing in 2008. I wasn't really a huge fan of coloured drawings because it never really worked out properly for me. This drawing was made as a gift for a baby named Troy. I chose this picture as my best creative conventional work because of the amount of time I used to create the proper texture for the baby's jeans. If i remembered correctly, i tried to use different kinds brushes, erasers and techniques (even through the use of cotton, tissue and ear buds) to produce the effect that the photo have now. It took me a lot of experiment to finally come up with the portrait which magically I finished just before we attended his first birthday party.

Great Piece of Architecture

The architecture that is shown above was made by Architect Kendrick Bangs Kellog. What I find great about this work of his is the unique structure of the roof which resembles a kind of spiral feeling that goes towards the center. It is sophisticated and, for me, interesting as I often ponder how wood could be bent in such manner but knowing that it is just creativity making an illusion. The connection of the building towards its surroundings embraces the renewable resources of wind and sun with style. As a great fan of unique and complicated designs, his work inspires me to create ideas that puzzles the fact if impossible could actually be possible.

Original Photograph of Something Beautiful

This image was taken on March 2013 at UNSW Campus. The first time that I entered these trees brought me back childhood memories where i used to think that I am small and that a dinosaur was about to come out from the top. It was green, tall and made me feel so new which is technically true being one of the overseas students. It is with this reason why i think this photo is beautiful.
